Location: MA | There is a current auction on EB for a Magnum II with what appears to be a modified headstock. I sent a note to the seller indicating he might want to list that as a modification (in case the picture wasn't obvious) and he replied that the headstock is original and not modified. In all pictures I've seen of Magnums (and I own one), I've never seen a headstock without the "ears".
The serial number noted would suggest it is not a prototype but might there have been earlier versions that had a rounded headstock?
My belief is that the ears were damaged and the remainder was removed to mitigate the look but he insists it's original.
Thoughts?
Thanks...--Mike

I apologize for the confusion. I have done some additional research on this guitar. I have adjusted the ad to explain this new information. I believe it is still a good buy at $550
