I am here at NAMM. Wore my OFC shirt and ran into Bobo, Beal, Paul and Steven! Cool gonna hang with them tomorrow night. Where is everyone else? Played the KK Adamas, the woodtop Adamas. Loved them both. If I had the cash, I'd one of them now! The Ovation product manager told me they are gonna focus on USA Ovation this year. That means what exactly? Got cut off in the conversation. Gonna ask him tomorrow if I get the chance.

Saw Stephen and Temp. The Adamas mandolin was really cool. The 2013 Koa anniversary model looks very close to Al's second run of Koa models. Loved the Guild electrics in their jazz section. They were featured up on the third floor with all the Fender models. The Tak booth was very impressive. Hamer was a no show (according to the program), but that didn't surprise me. Usual swag . . . t-shirts, hundreds of pics, etc. I spent about four hours in the pedal section and covered maybe 10% of the available exhibits. Mind blowing!

Well all I can say is: Holy Crap! Last night my girlfriend Paulette and I went to Bobbo's sisters house. Dude thanks for the hospitality and awesome welcome into your sisters home. Hanging out with you, Temp, Moody, Beal, Tim, Kim, Stephen, and Al (hope I didn't forget anyone) we had such a blast jamming, singing and laughing. You guys all made us feel at home I cannot thank you enough. Hard to believe it was it was 1:30 when we left! Great new friends and great times. Look forward to doing it again!

It was a bit later than that when we left without Temp!

Baby started whining and calling our cells so we had to go back and get him.

Sorry I missed seeing some of you while at NAMM (ProfBB!) ... but we had a great time at my sister's place and an awesome music-go-round and get together. It was really great meeting Mario ... glad you could make it!! The wood topped Adamas and the Adamas mando were pretty much the highlights for Ovation. But also lots of very pretty offshore models too.

Got a chance to see Rick Hall and chat with him for a bit. He's doing great even though we wish he was still at Ovation. The Guild guitars were nice, glad the folks in New Hartford are still building killer guitars. Also heard that Kim Keller got a major award from the President of Fender, although I heard she was a bit embarrassed by the flowery introduction. But no question she deserves the honor.

Bobbo, Kim is a dude.

And, yes, Kim received the coveted "Whatever it Takes" award! A big honor inside Fender, and (of course) well-deserved on Kim's part.

Guys, not sure if you saw this already, but there are some pictures of the New Hartford-built Adamas and O's that were introduced this year at NAMM. This picture was taken by an LTG forum member.

Nice. Just need to get rid of half the tuners on that adamas mando and turn it into a ukulele.

Don't think I haven't thought about it ... just afraid the bracing might be too heavy for ukulele use.
