For Sale: 2010 Ovation Elite Special Edition Serial #1

Also known as the Elite 2078AS-LE (Adirondack Spruce, Limited Edition)
Also Known as the 2010 Collectors Edition (since there was no real 2010 version)

Anyway, enough for words ... 50 of these fine special edition guitars were made and this in number 1

This is a stunning guitar. The bottom end rumbles your belly when you play. Beautifully aged Adirondack spruce top with nice silking. Beautiful inlaid epis, nice grain and fingerprint to the top, 5 piece wood edge binding including maple trim, 5 piece neck of walnut, oak and cherry, contour bowl, cherry fretboard unlays, OP-Pro Studio. Sounds and plays like a dream.

This guitar is 100% perfect mint as-new condition. It has NEVER left my house and is virtually unplayed. I challenge anyone to find a finer specimen in better condition. Includes the also 100% perfect original hardshell case.

This is your chance to own a piece of rare Ovation history. Notice that the guitar used for the photos on Ovations website and advertisements is in fact THIS specific guitar (look at the grain pattern), which only makes sense since this was the first one built !!!

$2150. Includes FedEx shipping to your USA address.

PM or email me if you have questions. THANKS

Nice guitar Dave.

But it's 'serial' number is 621034, not #1.

Nobody dresses a window as good as Dave does.
A well priced unique offering and very few grammatical errors.

If I actually had money I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Dave.

I got my Book Mando from Dave. You will receive exactly what he describes. No worries.

What a nice guitar. Good luck with the sale. It's out of my budget, but not out of my dreams.

Dave, keep it!!!! I've #17 and it sounds (to me) better as my 1537 and my "Book"-Elite. And #1.....I would not give anywhere.

Bernie, I agree. There are no wood top Ovations that sound better than this one in my opinion.

But the problem is that it's a zero play guitar in my hands, seriously it probably has 30 minutes total play time on it. I've been on a bit of a major league shopping spree lately and I can't keep them all. Out of room and out of money. This is a very special guitar and it will please me to see it find a good home and get the play and attention it deserves.

Dave, what changed your mind? I thought you told me a few years ago that the best wood top Ovation is the FD-14. That was before this guitar came out? Or you are getting partial to different sound? In any case, it is a beauty and good luck with the sale.

I bought an Ovation Pacemaker 12 string from Dave 3-4 years go. His marketing skills even then was superb but the guitar was even better, simply outstanding. Even asked a friend of mine to buy a guitar from Dave. In Dave I trust!!!

I didn't own the FD14 and 2010C at the same time so could not directly compare. In fact I think I used the money from the FD14 to buy the 2010C.

Anyway, both guitars plus maybe the wood topped adamas are the best of the best in recent Ovation portfolio.

The other thing that you do notice on the 2010C is that the quality, fit and finish is really top notch. That can't be said for many of the previous era guitars. Nothing wrong with them per se, but you didn't have to look hard to find a little glue drip here and a platter of paint there, etc.

I'm still owning Dave's FD-14 and I'm still lucky enough to own #17 of the 2010C's. They are very different animals, but both are sounding wonderful. The FD-14 is a fingerpicker's dream with full, dry basses and cristal clear highs, but not a really good strummer.
The 2010C has a hugh tonal range, a bit in the direction of an Adamas 1681. With a really good ballance, a wonderful allaround guitar.

Got it! Sounds like a great guitar. Wish I had seen this ad sooner because I just plunked good money on a Czech guitar called Furch. Here is a link for those who are interested. http://www.acousticguitar.co.kr/guitars/prodview_idx.php?idx=1972&c...

Dave, you may remember this friend of mine who owns this high end guitar shop in Seoul.

Good luck with the sale!
