Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent		I don't recall seeing this particular model in the CCB finish before, and BOY is it striking in person! Other than some cosmetic blemishes, this guitar is everything you would expect of a high-end, USA-built, professional instrument. The sound absolutely shimmers with overtones, and plugged in, the guitar just plain STONKS! The pre-amp has a built-in tuner as well. (Talk about a God-send for a 12-stringer!) And the playability is smooth-as-silk all the way up the neck; which BTW, has a measured nutwidth of 1 3/4" (possibly 1 15/16". I don't own a precision caliper, sorry.) Frankly, this guitar is easier on the hands than many upper echelon 6-stringers I've played. The serial number 497XXX, dates it to 1995.

The only faults are cosmetic, and I think partly due to a lack of hydration in the past. The good news is that, aside from a couple of dings, they are almost completely camouflaged when the strings are on the guitar; hence the three photos without strings. It now sports a fresh set of D'Addario lights.

There is a finish crack running just under the low-E string from the bridge to the soundhole. I don't think it goes through the wood, but can't be positive because there is a brace almost exactly behind it. Also, there is some minor cracking in the fretboard. It looks old and stable, and I don't think it is serious because there is no cracking in the binding around it. I think it may have been caused by contraction in the past from lack of humidity. In the interests of being up front and honest, I'll even put a new humidifier in the case before shipping.

As you can see from the pictures, the blems disappear completely from a couple feet away.

The best news is that, because of the blemishes, I can't charge what it's really worth. My aesthetic faults are your gain. I'm asking $775 shipped in the continental U. S. This will go up on eBay in time to pay the tax man, so grab it while you can. Thanks for looking everyone!

If I remember right, I think I already bought one of your fine guitars in the past.

Location: Tennessee		Nice. That looks like the New England Burst color and not CCB. It's gotta be a refinish but looks nicely done. Unless that's a custom built neck (highly unlikely), the nut width is probably 1 7/8". I have the Optima preamp in my CL12 and it's the perfect preamp for that guitar (even if you've got to get your reading glasses out MIB).

Location: Boise, Idaho		I liked the Optima preamp as a preamp, but mine ate batteries. The tuner was too small for me to read without my senior readers, but these days that's true of most anything.

I thought that was Autumn burst.

 

This is what I saw as NEB:

 

 

Sorry to get it wrong.  My CCB guitars have never had any oranage in them and Patch's pictures all look like there is orange in the middle.  Carry on.
