Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | Decided it was time to move a few of my basses out to make room for other GAS requirements. This is a 1980 Ovation PF-22 which was a prototype Magnum with a Set Neck of which approximately 10 were produced. It is a more modern, sleeker design than the Magnum series but contains the same serious mojo that the big *** pup provides. This is a great sounding and playing bass that is just not seeing any action and should go to a home where somebody will love it and play the hell out of it. Still love my Magnums and my fretless will be with me forever. I have this listed on Talkbass and Gearslutz for $1300 For OFC, looking for $1100 shipped CONUS. Not interested in any trades.

Is it as nice as my Fodera......no, not gonna lie about that.....
but I would easily put this up against ANY BASS that sells for $1500 or less and it will smoke it.
Needs a good home and prefer to keep it in OFC family but if no sale soon, going to ebay. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | If anyone is remotely interested.... just price out any set-neck, made in USA, bass today. You'll need to spend close to 2K to get started and it still won't have that awesome Magnum pickup. Even on ebay you have to spend at least 1200 to start getting into the same class as the PF-22 and again, you don't have that awesome pickup yet nor the quality of workmanship. This is frankly a bargain that I would jump on if I could. |

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | I am totally shocked that no one has shown interest in this. Surely there are a few bass players in the OFC?
I was hoping this would stay in the family but if there is no interest then this TRUE PIECE of Ovation history will be going most likely to a stranger through ebay.
I am glad I had the opportunity to own this fine bass for a while. Sorry for those who won't get the chance. |
