| Looking for any info about this guitar. In having trouble finding stuff online.
Back in the early 90's when I was a young player, I drooled over the Ovation Elite. I play mostly Taylors now but I learned to play on an old Ovation 12 string so O's have a special place for me. I really haven't even looked at them in many years till I came across this yesterday at GC. Really took me back. I bought it for $350 feeling like it was a great deal. I remember them being soooo expensive back then. While researching I see there are tons of elite models??? I don't think there were back then, but I could be very wrong.
Just wanted to get the low down on this particular one and where it fits in the grand scheme of things. I dated it as a 1990. Any info would be fantastic. Also, it seems to be a creamy off white. Think it was originally white and this is just aged to cream? If so, recommendations on what to clean it with?
Thanks

Location: Jet City | Hey Jeffz, cool guitar. The 1868 isn't a rare breed by any means, but I like 'em in white, maybe it's cuz you just don't see many.
Not too much more to say about it. I know newer white ones are pretty white, so I'll bet this one has just aged to the cream color, but you never know. It could have been more off-white back then.
There are more folks over in the General section. You're a full member now, so feel free to go say hello and ask questions over there. |
