Joined: September 2013 Posts: 10 | Hi Guys, I see the Mr. Ovation title has already been claimed! That has been my title here for several decades! I have loved the round backs since before I played guitar, my best friend had a blonde 12 string Pacemaker for years! Many a cold brew and a Beatles song or two over that old friend! That instrument and several other Pacemakers over the years became part of my Ovation arsenal! I am also a huge fan of the Josh White / Folklore model and have had several of them as well! I have long been an admirer of the twelfth fretters! I have had may roudbacks over the years starting with a brand new mid 80's Custom Balladeer {shallow) followed shortly by a matching deep bowl 12 string both with matching sunburst! Still miss them! I have had several renditions of Balladeers thru the years Cady green shallow bowl satin finish Ballad.Special Had one of the first Legends done in the Hamer Newport sparkle orange, awesome guitar! Did,nt stay with me long though, for some reason it did'nt talk to me and found its proper home with a friend. I have had several Elites thru the years although I thing my favorite was the black mid 80's full bowl Great guitar! Absolutely loved my'86 Thunderbolt one of the best guitars I have ever played hands down! Great top, wish Bill Jr. had followed that further! My "89 Collectors was another fav! Loved the blue, gave that one to my brother as a wedding present, thought he might find another one like it...kids?Haha! Ended up with a couple of Adamas again a blue CVT roundhole and a blue CVT elite 12 string ! Fabulous guitars! Only one I havent had I wished I had met was the twelfth fret Adamas! Like to think I had something to do with that! I used to sell Ovations at a small shop here in New England somebody stopped by to meet me from the factory(I think it was Rick??) We had a n awesome chat about about Folklores and Adamas! Still havent met one but I see they get great reviews! Anyways Hi Guys ...real Ovation guy here been playing them for over twenty years now! I currently sell Taylors and sold most of the above arsenal several years ago for the once in a lifetime Grand Concert custom built for me! Love it but miss some of my old friends! It with much pain I join you this evening to introduce myself as I need to find a home for another dear old friend! I have FD-14 Folklore Deluxe #16 that I need to find a value and a new home for! I also have a real deal mid 70's neon sign in the original box! These need to go where they will be loved... Anyways I can chat for days about guitar! I work at Earcraft Music in Dover NH you can take a peek a the website if you want to see me in the acoustic room I work in, think there are a couple of You tubes out there as well! Thanks Guys Skip

Joined: September 2013 Posts: 10 | Thanks Damon, Great to be here! Been poking around a little on some of the forums! Great to see such a fan club of the Folklore! It is without a doubt one of my favorite guitars in the world! Glad to see a Folklore fan base! We have an old silver label at work I am trying to save from the scrap heap! It has a broken heel . But if I can I will rescue her and offer the parts , somebody probably needs a tuner or bridge....
