| Hello, I'm glad I found this site.
I have a 1973 Breadwinner that has been modified with a new pick guard to accept standard sized humbucking pickups (I saved all the original parts, even the screws). Presently there are two very hot Dimarzio's in there that I've used for years, but no longer like the sound. I'm thinking of going to EMG pickups.
Any opinions? |

I know nothing about this. Hopefully an administrator will come along and give you full access soon. Then you should post in the general section, as most people can't post here. Welcome.

| Yes, I have the original preamp still in the guitar. I am not sure which version it is at this point (haven't opened it up in a while). |

| Thanks. I like the original pick ups as well. They weren't hot enough for what I was playing at the time. However I like the new pick guard better than the old one and don't want to cut it for the the originals, which is why the query.
Also I'm always looking for something new. |
