| Can someone give me the number/model of any Ovation nylon-stringed electric guitars in the 70s/80s (if there were any)? I owned (still do, actually) a Classic Balladeer, but I was wondering if they made any nylon-stringed guitars with electronics built in.
Thanks in advance for your answers. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Do you mean electric/acoustics? There were several. Classics: 1113, 1713/1763 and 1613/1663. Artist and Country Artist: 1624. There was also a Concert Classic I think. Check the reference section of this forum. There are a couple of model and serial number lists that identify which were steel and which were nylon.

Yes, the Concert Classic was the 1616. From an Elderly post: Classical-electric, full depth bowl, gloss natural finish, solid spruce top, 12-fret mahogany neck with 5-ply center strip and slotted headstock, ebony fretboard, 2" nut width, 640mm scale, walnut bridge, white-bound top with multi-layered purfling, factory pickup / preamp system, chrome tuners.
My very first O.
