Hi Everyone,
Got a 2nd or possibly 3rd hand Celebrity CC24 here, love it to bits, I'm also a beginner.

Good morning to everyone and would you mind a quick question.....

Can I put steel strings on a Celebrity CC24?

Thanks for any help

Hi Robert,
The Celebrity CC24 is a Steel String guitar.

Just to clarify... Does yours have Nylon Strings on it now?
If so, you should get some acoustic guitar strings for it.
That would be D'Addario EJ16, or Martin SP MSP4100, or something similar.

On a different track... Are you asking if you can put electric guitar strings on it?
If that is your question, the answer is Yes. But it would sound better with acoustic strings.

Finally, if you want lighter strings that are easier on your fingers because you have been using Nylon strings... You can get lighter gauge strings or Silk-n-Steel.
Lighter D'Addario EJ15.
Or for Silk-n-Steel D'Addario EJ40, or Martin M130 or M1400

Hope that helps.
