My tops was 3.

Found an Ovation at Silver Lining Pawn Shop...
Came home to find that FedEx had left one at the front desk.
Then the mailman brought one.

That was a Good Day!

Nancy, I've had similar dreams, where the guitar I hinted at like crazy disappeared from the market, so I thought it would show up under the tree. But I always woke up to the reality of "you don't need more guitars." I'd rather have her complain that I bought a guitar she was going to buy as a present. The OFC 1 was essentially that--birthday, Father's Day and Christmas present. Buy your own present and tell your spouse that you saved her the trouble.

I don't recall the most I've bought in a single day used, but I remember quite well buying 2 brand new ones. A brand new Adamas 2 Reissue from Alpep and a new 2078 Custom Elite from a local dealer at the Ovation Roadshow.

That was an expensive day.

Damon, I was there that day and came home with one song book. I really liked the wood topped Adamas and wish I'd have bought it.

Now you guys are just taunting me, right? Showing off? 2.. 3.. 4.. 11 guitars in ONE day? Oh well, I guess that's just part of the dues I must pay for being such a junior member on here. But just you wait.. one of these days, I'll show you.. you'll see. I'll prove that I can get just as messed up on this stuff as the rest of yas!

When the Roadshow came through Portland, I could have bought a nearly new Wood-Top Adamas for $1500! And I didn't What was I thinking?

In 20/20 Hindsight, it was a Stupid Move.
I would have had to wait until the Roadshow was over to receive the guitar.
But I had the money!
I was unemployed, but I was getting a check at that time.
(and my unemployment check was more than the paycheck of many people that I knew)
I hadn't thought about that for a looong time.
But now that MIB reminded me of that, I have been mentally kicking myself.

I am intrigued.... How do you even find 11 guitars you want all at once, let alone orchestrate them all into arriving on one day????

Yeah, I was wondering that, too. I guess if someone were to haul off and buy a music store it could happen pretty easy, but other than that it would seem to be a very unique day in one's life. Then again, from some of the collections I see on here, eleven at once could easily be a "meh" to a true addict.

Who was it did the lyric?... "There's a hole in Daddy's arm where all the money goes."

I guess it could be changed to, "There's a room down the hall where all the money goes."
