This is beyond a Dream Come True.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/John-Denver-Owned-Ovation-Adamas-12-String-... There is NO way to justify that, but Holy Buckets! I would let it sleep next to me in bed and make it Breakfast!!! ![]() AND.... it is signed by Beal too!!! Edited by Nancy 2016-05-13 4:53 PM

Joined: December 2014 Posts: 1713 Location: Frozen Tundra of Minnesota | It says $60,000 OBO, so I made an offer! Not as a joke at all! John Denver was a huge influence in my teenage years, and my getting into guitar. I could not in good conscience NOT try. So I put in the biggest bid I could go, and Thanked them very much for the opportunity to bid on one of his Guitars! They of course Declined the offer, but By God! I got to submit a bid on a John Denver 12 String Adamas!!!!! That is Far Out!!!!!! ![]() Edited by Nancy 2016-05-13 8:35 PM

(Nancy will get that joke!) ****SNORT**** LMAO!!!!!!!!! That is HILARIOUS Dan!! I honest to God, just used that term in a note I was writing to someone about a guitar looking handled rough too! OMG that is HILARIOUS!!!!! Thank You!!!! ![]() (My Mom was born and raised in WY, and her Dad used to break horses for the Calvary. My ex was a working Cowboy from MT, and I have been on a horse since I was 4 years old. I tend to use horse analogies frequently because I grew up with them.) Great Job Dan!!!!!! ![]() Edited by Nancy 2016-05-14 9:47 AM

Better to have tried and failed than never to have tried! It was SO Exciting Dave!!! I know it is a pain in the butt for the people on the other side, but it meant SO much to me to be able to have bid on one of his Adamas, and I was very polite, and Thanked them. And I did put in a bid as to what I thought an un-famous(?) Adamas would go for, I put a real amount, not like .50. Yes, at least I tried, I can honestly say that I bid on a John Denver 12 String Adamas! ![]()

If anyone's reading this and has a 1688 that's not getting attention you have two ovation enthusiasts here that would love to give it a good home,I'd even offer to trade one of my beauty's as part of the deal so we each get a new toy.
