I spoke with the owner, and I'm headed over there tomorrow to look at the guitar (because I can't get a hold of a forum member here to send him a check for a guitar that I want). I asked what the model number is and she told me the guitar doesn't have a sticker. Then I asked what is the serial number on the back and she said there isn't one.

So, which O came from the factory this way? If none, how can I find out the serial number and model? It has an OP-24 pup. She sounds very legitimate. Her dad bought her the guitar a couple years ago. He bought it used. It comes with an Ovation hardshell case.

Moody is right...it's a Celeb, not an Elite.

I'm not sure, I'm still new at this. But I think an Elite would have a number on the headstock.
Plus for $300, it looks like a cs257 to me :(
and maybe a nicer pre-amp, but I'm not sure...

Thanx for the tip Jason. Now that you mention it, the end of the fretboard is totally different from one to the other. Celebrity to Elite.
