Somebody raised this topic a few months ago and there seemed to be a lot of interest in a particular model or brand. Don't recall what it was. I need a soft-sided case to carry an assortment of acoustic sizes. I prefer to switch things up a bit every week or two but am getting tired of moving hard cases back and forth out of storage. A good quality one-size-fits-all bag would really be the cat's meow. Any recommendations?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but, Tribal Planet's are great! You might need a little piece of foam if the sizes vary too much.

Another option is to use a back axe, which basically, straps the case onto your back like a back pack. I use it when I ride my bicycle.

Contact any Fender or D'Andrea dealer and order a Tribal Planet GSX5D. This is their top-of-the-line Dreadnought sized bag that will take any Ovation including deep-bowl 14-fret 12 strings. I can then send you a custom pad kit (US dealers don't have these as yet, the distributors may not even be aware they exist) The custom pads are additional oblong and circular foam blocks which velcro to the lining of the case allowing you to custom fit the case to smaller instruments.

Thanks, Paul. I'm on it and when I can confirm that the case has been ordered and is on its way, I'll send you a PM regarding the pad kit.

I can attest to the quality of the TribalPlanet bag that Temp refers to.

I just shipped one of these bags up to Mt.cwk2.

When Paul brought this bag over last month, we fit (with minimal adaptation) EVERY guitar that I had in the house succesfully into it!

The only ones that didn't fit were the LongNecks (naturally). The foam pads to "customize" the bag are ingeneous!! We even fit the Tak classical into it securely - no problem.

I'm seriously considering replacing the clunky, hardcases on my gig guitars with these!!!

Thanks for the real world comment, Cliff. That is my thinking, too. I keep the guitars on the walls between gigs and then have to dig around for the right case when playing out. I'm thinking of using two soft cases, one acoustic and one electric, that can accommodate everything, then keep the hard cases in mothballs unless I'm traveling across the country.

They don't.
They're pretty good at "staying" where you set them down . . .

Customer bring in samples and I make up about a half dozen hydraulic hoses a day. Meaning if thts sohul wait for it they'll ask, "How long?". And I'll just say, "Ohhh, 'bout a foot and a half".
About those bags.. If I was a gigger who gigged I'd gig with one of those. Ya gig??
