It'll obviously need work, but I don't know how much it'll cost to get it up to speed.

Why don't you print out a copy of the ad and bring it to your local luthier and get an estimate? Then you'll know.

My suspicion quotient doubles every time I see a guitar for sale that has had the strings removed. To me, it's like advertising a car up jackstands with no wheels on it. That said, it looks pretty and for that price would worth a gamble.

Maybe I'll stop on my way to San Diego. 45 minutes is a long drive? That's a short commute for most people. We spent that much time at Walmart trying to replace a boat cover last night. I just spent that much time on this board.

yes all of those things are true, but to drive 45 minutes and end up in Fallon, thats the problem.
