Great! That said, a million is peanuts for Behringher, given how they operate they probably factor this into their business model as a cost of doing business.

Yeah what PT said about the fine. That is a really cool website I did not know about. Lots of good articles it seems. The Ed Roman thing doesn't surprise me, but like a cockroach, he'll be back unfortunately.

Checked Roman's website for any liquidation specials and saw nothing. I'll ask my friend's son in vegas to check him out. I'll let you know if he finds anything.

Years ago, I considered buying a guitar from Ed Roman based on some special on his website. All I can recall after hanging up was getting a distinct impression that He "knew it all and felt everyone else was an idiot." It didn't matter if it was guitars, religion, politics, or whatever; if you didn't agree with him, he had no use for you. :p

Eventually, I went to GC in Atlanta and spent way more than I would have paid him. They at least spoke respectfully and treated me considerately, even if they couldn't match his price.

Roman used to be in CT. I knew him then. No change to now.

Ed had a very high respect for Hamer guitars back in the day, and at one time was the only source for some Steinberger parts. I have spoken with him several times, and he was a chatty and very highly opinionated guitar fan, traits I have observed on this board occasionally. ;)

He loved BC Rich too until he was caught making... err faking them from his basement. One "almost" deal is all it took from me.

Imitation may be the best form of flattery, but fraud crosses an obvious line. He did have an amazing website with a lot of gorgeous guitars on it, but his prose was a bit much. Haven't beent there for years.

He bought out several (IIRC) trailer loads of NOS Steinberger parts...bodies, necks, bridges, etc. when Steinberger sold to Gibson. I called him once, looking for a GP pickguard. When you're the only game in town for NOS stuff, I guess you can ask anything you want.
