ok......so here are pics of the bridge in question........

sorry...........i tried to make them less blurry then the other ones, but...........well, just don't hate me......

i've got questions about most of these pics.......

any info would be great......i'd like to restore this instrument to it's original state......if that's possible......unless it's already there......

you've all been such a help to me already.....thank you....
---------------------------------------------------

bridge, top...

bridge, rear....note: why is there so much space between bridge and body??

bridge, side......Note: obviously the angle causes the space in the back, but what do i do about the angle?.....it also causes congestion around the intonation screws.....makeing them hard to get to.....

back, screw, and plastic(?) spacer......but how would they connect to the bridge??......i noticed a "post" in BruDeV's pictures.......but the back of the bridge doesn't have any marks indicating a connection........

thanks for your time and info, folks.....

Someone swapped out the original bridge. Your bridge is mounted exactly as it should be, although your action may be a little high. Can't tell from the picture. If it plays correct, and the intonation is correct, it is as it should be, just doesn't have the bridge that was on it when it left the factory. This is not a bad thing. The bridge you have is the later model bridge. Someone obviously didn't like the original brass with plastic cover one (which I actually prefer) and swapped it. That screw on the back does nothing, connects to nothing.
