Location: Waurika OK | Well, last night was the night.
Went to OK City to see Heart.
Rained the last 45 miles and I was sure it would be cancelled, (outdoor venue) was still raining when I arrived. Show started about an hour late.
Eventually the rain stopped and the rest of the evening was mild and cool.
38 Special opened, lots of good ol Southern Rock.
Then Heart came out at about 9:15 and played until almost 11. Two encores, 3 songs in the first and one in the second.
They were great, Ann's vocals outstanding, Nancy was great on guitar, and the band was right there with them.
All you guys were right in advising me to go.
Ann might have had an Ovation in one song. It was a center hole model, but my old eyes couldn't be sure. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Noel, probably not. Ann owns several Os, but has been using a Rainsong the last couple of years.
Glad you enjoyed the concert...it doesn't look like Heart is going to get to Detroit this year.... :(

Location: Hicksville, NY | I recall watching a VH1 show -- inducting rock and roll honorees -- not too long ago. Besides Heart, other musicians honored included ZZ Top, Genesis and Ozzy Osbourne.
After an introduction by Cameron Diaz, the photo and video footage of Heart over their years as a duo/band, show Ann playing numerous Ovation and Adamas guitars. During their live performance after the introduction, however, she was playing a Martin [her signature model perhaps?]. |
