Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | One of the goodies that Al tossed in with the OFC guitar is a gig bag made by Access. I moved into the bag last week and used it this weekend. What a delight! It has multiple compartments behind zippered flaps and covers that allow you to sort out everything. The very top zippered flap hides five or six compartments that hold all the smaller stuff you’re always reaching for (capo, pics, cleaning cloth, batteries, tuner, etc.) and smaller effects. On the inside of the top cover is another zippered pouch for pencils and sticky pads. I store all my tools in the upper front compartment that is wide enough to hold longer screwdrivers, wire cutters, and needle noce pliers. The bottom compartment (with access from the bottom) is the biggest of all and holds multiple electrical extension cords and guitar cords. I think I have a total of seven in there right now. The front bottom pocket easily held an oversized 7" x 10" effects unit. The only things this bag doesn’t hold are my music notebooks and folding stands (music, guitar, and amp) which I now carry in a separate soft-sided briefcase from LL Bean that has been collecting dust for years. I sure didn’t appreciate how convenient and handy these bags are. I’m not sure where these things come from. Maybe Al carries them. I won’t leave home on a gig without it. |
