Aloha Tim is going to be coming thru and will have his #47 slothead. This means we'll have an original slothead, a #47, and an OFC slothead all at the same place and time. Let me know via email if you can come. moody.pi@cox.net.

Bruce and Val (?) are holding Mike's slotheads. Mike and Fred look to be holding U681's. Tim has his 47RI and Tony is holding his 1687. Paul's Glen Campbell Deluxe Balladeer and Fred's Koa up front. Close ??? Dave

I've also got about 8 minutes of video. I'll put it on a dvd if somebody knows how to up load it to youtube. We had a great time. It was an All Adamas All the Time Gathering (A.A.A.T.G). Comparing guitars, Michael's slotheads had the most power. There was no denying the 30 year age and openning up. Some people don't believe that Adamii open up, but I firmly believe that they do. Tim's 47 has a big, open sound. Great guitar. My OFC slot didn't have the power (it could have been the strings), but I felt my slot had a great balance and very mellow tone. Both Michael and Fred brought U861's (remember that Michael has one of the first two prototypes), but you couldn't compare them as Fred has his strung with silk and steel. We really didn't get into wood topped O's at all. Tim turned out to be a really nice guy (as his posts indicated). We all played together (Michael and my buddy Val did some great playing on old Cole Porter tunes --- Val, an astronomer, loved Tony's Adamas I which is for sale --- I might have to talk Val into selling a telescope to buy it!) and just had a great time. I'll try to get some pics up later today or this evening.

Michael and Tony play a duet on Fred's KOA... they worked it well! Paul then made it a trio... enough said :) There were also plenty of guitars in the other room. Fred's falling in love with an EA68-7LTD...
