Ok, I'm getting the date right in the topic line. Sunday, June 10 at 4 pm, we're having a get together at my house outside of Mission Viejo. Aloha Tim is going to be coming thru and will have his #47 slothead.

This means we'll have an original slothead, a #47, and an OFC slothead all at the same place and time. Let me know via email if you can come. moody.pi@cox.net.

You boys and girls have a great time. I will post some pics from the Southern Jam sometime Saturday or Sunday.

Can't quite remember whose brangan what guitars, exceptan fo mine.

I am sure that even the best one will not improve my talent, make it louder and easier to hear the mistakes, Oh Yeah!

Safe Travels to ya all, we expect a few pics (of course)!

Which one is the OFC? I can see no difference to the other blue slotheads. The one Tony holds in his hands seems to be a beige AI.

I'm going to guess that Moody is playing thye OFC guitar (I doubt Mike has strap loops on his slotheads). Bruce and Val (?) are holding Mike's slotheads. Mike and Fred look to be holding U681's. Tim has his 47RI and Tony is holding his 1687. Paul's Glen Campbell Deluxe Balladeer and Fred's Koa up front. Close ???

My God, one man with two original slotheads! Hard to believe.

BTW: Mike, yesterday my (former yours) black 1688 worshipped in our local church. It was a tremendous unplugged sound.

Looks like an Adamas Fan Club gathering ... wish I could've been there. A rare gathering of guitars for sure. Fred's even got the myspace picture thing going by flipping us the bird.

I'll get some pictures up soon (didn't sleep much last night then had to go find somebody early this morning --- I'm dragging right now). I've also got about 8 minutes of video. I'll put it on a dvd if somebody knows how to up load it to youtube.

We had a great time. It was an All Adamas All the Time Gathering (A.A.A.T.G). Comparing guitars, Michael's slotheads had the most power. There was no denying the 30 year age and openning up. Some people don't believe that Adamii open up, but I firmly believe that they do.

Tim's 47 has a big, open sound. Great guitar. My OFC slot didn't have the power (it could have been the strings), but I felt my slot had a great balance and very mellow tone.

Both Michael and Fred brought U861's (remember that Michael has one of the first two prototypes), but you couldn't compare them as Fred has his strung with silk and steel.

We really didn't get into wood topped O's at all.

Tim turned out to be a really nice guy (as his posts indicated). We all played together (Michael and my buddy Val did some great playing on old Cole Porter tunes --- Val, an astronomer, loved Tony's Adamas I which is for sale --- I might have to talk Val into selling a telescope to buy it!) and just had a great time.

I'll try to get some pics up later today or this evening.

Fred, Paul, Tony, Noah, Michael, Chloe, Tim, Val

Paul tries to lead the group...

Val solos on Fred's KOA...

Michael and Tony play a duet on Fred's KOA... they worked it well!

Paul then made it a trio... enough said :)

There were also plenty of guitars in the other room.
Fred's falling in love with an EA68-7LTD...
