I've caught GAS,as you may see in my signature (when i signed here i had Legend and 2 Hohners in my sig...).
And now i have another object.I've got an offer to buy old ovation. Seller says that this guitar has dead pick-up, but other than that it's in good condition.
What is the model and what is it worth?

They made a series of "collector editions" like CP2001 etc. I had one in a bcb flamed maple top, and it looked really nice and played as good as some real O's I've seen. Lots of bling in the abalone binding and neck surround. Mine was in pristine shape and sold for 425.00 on the bay. If you don't want it for 150, let me know and I'll take it. |

I've bought brand new Hohner HW-350G Journeyman for my friend who is learning to play, and it is very good guitar for the money (about $150 new with hard shell case). It's very bright, and the intonation is far better than in my Crafter or in my father's Yamaha APX-5 |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | Hey LBJ, I just looked-up the Hohner 350G. It has scalloped bracing, hand-picked wood, it might be nice.
I've got a Johnson, which everyone knows is a cheap beginners guitar. (mine is "for the more experienced guitarist" HA) I got it for $31. It cost more than that to ship it. I lowered the saddle, (razor-knife) and put on new strings.
It sounds great for a $66 guitar.
I got it to share, and maybe give away. People tell me it sounds nice. Hey, Price does not always equal quality. (Look at Cadillacs) Each guitar is an individual. Especially on the lower-end, where consistency is not guaranteed!
I still hope for the best on that Celebrity. They ain't USO's, but some of them are fine-dandy! |

Location: Minden, Nebraska | There were several versions of Celebrity versions of collectors models in the early 90's. The main difference was eye candy, such as abalone fretboard binding. This guitar seems a reasonable buy even with suspect electronics. |

Location: Tychy, Poland | I will buy this guitar on monday. It's located about 120 km from me, so it isn't that far. If it sounds nice, i'll take it. Price ($150) is without case. With case owner wants $270, but i don't think that case is worth $120. And i'm sure that this guitar will be hanging on my wall between my Legend and Crafter, and i have 3 other hardshell cases for guitars. |

i've bought it, even though that i shouldn't.
i've payed $175 with case.
Guitar itself is... i don't know.
If it came this way from factory, there is no way that i'd pay more this.
I think that neck was broken in some weird direction (it looks like it would be broken at the edge?!) i don't know. But you can feel under tip of your finger that there is a small hole on the neck between the 9 and 12 fret, and glueing of neck to the top is very poor.
Sound... i don't know. I have to set it up and play on the new strings, but first impression is that i'd place this guitar somewhere in between Hohner HW350G and Crafter ED50.
I will post some more when i'll finally set up this guitar.

They like their double chocolate fudge swirl, and I'll have my marshmellow carmel chocolate chip.

i'd prefer original ovation neck with markings on 5,7,9,12 etc fret
