Hi All,

Tried searching the forum to see if anyone knew specifically whether ANY other preamp than the OP2B can be used in an Applause AE 48. Sure would be great if you could upgrade the electronics... but I didn't see anything specific.

Has anyone tried this? Do you have to replace the internals as well?

USA made Ovations, you can send the back to the factory and they will install anything you like.

Don't have a clue concerning the Applause models.

you would need to call bloomfield and ask for someone who handles applause parts and they may be able to help you.

With the costs (and hassles) involved, you'd probably be better served by just upgrading to a US guitar . . .
