If there is anybody here that can give me some insight on how to convert my Breadwinner (73-74)from active circuitry to passive. The tone pot has finally made its last pop and crackle and now it has frozen. I've been told to try to disassemble the pot and clean it up. I'm not a guitar guru, but that sounds like it would be nonproductive. I have tried to find a replacement pot through local dealers and they are telling me that it is not available. I really love my Breadwinner and don't like to see it unused.
Any help will be great appreciated.
Thanks

Don't count your Breadwinner out yet. There is still a lot of help and parts out there. You will find what you need here.

I'm actually from West Virginia. I'm here in Michigan as a favor to Uncle Sam.

That's a compliment, Max. Brad usually only hits on sailors.

Options:

1 - Brudev may have a line on an approximate replacement pot.

2 - I worked with Customer Service and got new Phat Cat (Seymour Duncans) wired up by Hamer guys for my Deacon 12. These are the same pups and pots used on the Hamer Newport 12 string.

3 - Check out my Gallery. I make some replacement P/Gs with a twist.

4 - Trade me for a Preacher Deluxe and I'll take the pain of repair away.

Either way, welcome!

I'm at 21 & Gratiot. To far for lunch.
BrianT & I played an open mic last night a 11 & Groesbeck. Nice place. In fact a duo called "A Couple Of Jacks" played there. They said they worked at TACOM.
