Now, I have a 7 string guitar, and love to play it, but it is a rarity after attracting a few players over the last decade or so. Only the cheap Koreans sell nowadays. There is also a 27" scale fad thing going on now, which will likely also be gone fairly soon. Ibanez has dropped theirs, and is also only in the hands of cheap Korean imports now (not counting Jim Soloway's outstanding semi-hollowbodies) So, something to consider before you even slip into the realm of possible fad-dom with these fretless things: for 7000 dollars you can get a doubleneck Conklin bass made to any spec your heart desires. And the Conklin 'available options' list reads like a phone book. I saw a fretless guitarist (on a Vigier) of enormous talent open for Joe Satriani in front of a guitar crazy crowd a few years back, and no one got it. This might be cool, but the price kills it so dead it's silly. There's no market for this at 1/5th the price. I predict...No Sales!

Maybe you should check their site; these aren't assembly line instruments. They are completely hand made and every one is a custom one off. But hey, good luck man, More power to you if you can pull it off! As for those POS 100K Martins ;) , I've been to Mandolin Bros. and played a 100K D'Angelico, and a lot of 30K + guitars. (They let anybody play them, I swear! It is a really, really cool place if you are ever in NYC). The only 100K Martins that I know of are the pre-WWII D45's, and there are only about 71 of those anyway, with only (possibly) 10 being traded in the wild. Steven Stills is supposed to have maybe 10 of them. They get that money for the sound and rarity, and brother they ain't POSes! They aren't worth 100K for their sound alone, but they do sound Godly. Like..hold your breath, freeze you like a statue Godly. I would trade my Camry Wagon for one! lol

Most martins going for large amounts of dough "look" like a POS but sound great. I would still never drop that kind of cash (unless I had a 50 million in the bank)....then I guess it would be like us mere mortals that pay a grand for our Ovations
