| Hello:
Introduction... three years practicing experience, taking lessons, working with acoustic guitars, like to tinker, don't expect I'll ever become proficient, always respected players but never really understood what skill it takes to be a great player - now I do.
Watched the Bad Company Hollywood, Florida special on HDNet the other month and noticed Mick Ralphs played a guitar I had never seen before... Figured out that it was an Ovation with the mini-sound holes. Really liked the design as seen on tv... Wanted one... Did the research, shopped the online stores, checked ebay, checked craigslist and made several contacts to get one - and finally found a CS257 in a pawn shop over in Hollywood.
It's a great guitar... it's clean but well used, the sound was different but so awesome. Love the tone. Action is great and who-ever owned it last placed light 8-gage strings on it - played like butter.
Here is a pic of my guitars including the Ovation...

Looking forward to lot's of pickin' on that beautiful Ovation.
