Well today Wendy and I got our little tour of the factory. eventhough it is small in there, there was lots to see. John Budny and Darren Wallace were class and a pleasure to visit with. I took some pics and will post them later on as they are in my camera. Would LOVE to come back again for an OFC gathering. Hopefully it happens.

It's really classy that they took time to give you a tour.
According the that clip posted elsewhere those 10 guys are tasked to making 1,000 guitars this year.
.
As much as I'd like a factory based gathering, I don't think it's in the cards. To much work to do.

Yes, don't let my attendance in Austin deter anyone! It should be a fantastic seminar.

OK so here are my pictures. When I got started I got so caught up in what I was seeing I didn't take any pictures, so I have nothing from the second floor unfortunately. When I was there I did Beal's red viper being worked on and some other goodies and lots of parts. Below is what I saw downstairs.

My laptop died before I finished. So above you see the famous deeeeep bowl desk, some beautiful anniversaries, me and Wendy with the fine production line, John Budny and I and some raw neck stock.

Below are some raw bowls, more necks, more guitars that were in Darren's office and my favorite of all, me having quality time with "original" Adamas proto 47!

Yes it was a great day thanks to Darren and especially John.

Holy smoke,I was there that same day to drop off a guitar for service, Didn't get a tour but it was real cool for Mike to some me some of his work - That guy is a real artist.

I'm in the area often because The Ovation factory in in Connecticut's most pristine part of the state and right on the Farmington river where kayaking and fishing is great.

It is a beautiful place. I was lucky enough to make it for the 50th kick-off when all the leaves were changing.
