(my estimate, but close)saw Neil Diamond here in Las Vegas last night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Doug Rhone in his band, played a Legend on a couple of tunes, so I guess we can declare an "Ovation Sighting" ? Neil's shows are always spectacular and beyond perfect; this one was extraordinary.

funny neil story...

My grandmother...may she rest in peace..

I took my grandmother to see a Neil Diamond concert shortly before she passed away. Neil Diamond was like Elvis to her.

You have to picture this...she was about 83 years old and needed a walker. Well...the lights went out..coming to America kicked in,,,and Neil hit the stage. I looked over to make sure my grandmother was ok...to my surprise...I watched her toss the walker aside she stood up and started dacning, clapping, and jumping around like a young school girl. It was such a sight to see. The funny thing was as soon as the show was over...she grabbed her walker ...lol and all of a sudden lost her groove....

Its a memory truly cherisihed.

Neil Diamond does a great spot in the concert movie "Last Waltz" with his Ovation.
