I think I played an original pickup on the Adamas CVT side by side with a High Output pickup on the Custom Legend SHALLOW body.

The Custom Legend was tinny, bright plugged in and couldn't eq it out. The CVT was very warm sounding actually. Same Optima preamp too.

Is it a pickup difference, the shallow body vs mid depth bowl difference or both?

Still thinking of a used Mid Depth custom legend if I can find one but if it sounds like the shallow body plugged in, no way.
