Location: Massachusetts | You all are going to kill me. I passed up the guitar price of a lifetime.
An Adamas CVT for $689 NEW. It wasn't used but it didn't have the latest preamp. Last years model? Cobalt/grey color.
Killer guitar. I have an Ovation S771 that I am not digging right now but to buy a new guitar even at this price took all my strength to resist..I can't afford it now.
They also had a new black custom legend shallow body for $850. I always wanted one but it felt and sounded like a toy with that shallow back.
The Adamas sounded good but actually a new S771 sounded better..closer to a Taylor with the midrange, volume and brightness.
It was their Labor Day sale and they had them marked in advance on Sunday. Had I had access to the internet I would have given everyone here a heads up.
I got to tell you, it was the hardest thing I ever did to resist these guitars but my Ovation is still kind of cool if I can get it looked at by Ovation to bring the sound back I had when I bought it.
GAS attack averted and I may be the dumbest person you ever met for not buying these things. |
