Took the Takamine EF75J in to have it setup a bit today. Had a slight buzz on the high E. The tech couldn't have played it more than two minutes total. Jump ahead two hours, and I pull the guitar out of its case at home, grab the tuner and sit down to enjoy.

Whoah, the low E string was pretty much toast! Glad I picked up a set of Martin Marquis Lights to try. Strings changed immediately and we're back in business.

Tried some guitars and the only one I played that could touch the Tak was a 12 fret slothead Martin vintage 28. That was nice, but at another $1000 above the Tak, it was no contest. It would take high point on volumne only, and then by a small margin.

The only Ovation in the store was a nice looking (quilted top) Celebrity shallow bowl which I didn't bother to try.

The Tak stays where it is! What a great guitar! :)
