Would anyone have any idea what a 1982 ovation anniversary model in MINT condition is worth? Thanks for any info.

Follow-up- the chart says MSRP was $975, in 1982. Mint condition, 22 years later? Pay close to that, I suppose.

No, I think he means the 1157 or 1657 Anniversary model. I know of a 1157 available in a used shop locally for $425 and it isn't moving. A shame.

Jeez, now I wish I hadn't looked in the website link. If the query is about the Anniversary 1157 model, that is some gorgeous guitar! And for $425.00?! That verges on larceny!

seesquare, this particular 1157 does have issues....but slight....the top ends of the headstock have the "normal" Ovation dings. The top appears flat and solid, the neck is straight, and it sounds wonderful, just needs new strings. It is the brown color, not the natural.

I didn't know what it was when I first saw it, had never heard of an "Anniversary", but I looked it up on the Ovation historical list.

I would love to have it, but my musical zoo is full, save perhaps room for a 1771LX-CCB.

There is a model 1157 Anniversary Ovation on ebay now. It has about 2 hour left and the bid is at 255 dollars. This could be a good deal. ebay # 3767129944

DANG! I have got to stop adopting all these reclamation projects. That guitar looks to be in pretty good shape, too! You're right, Paul. This might be a great buy for someone.

The 1157 on eBay is the same color as the one in the shop here, a -7. But a good deal????? A HUGE risk with a "0" feedback seller!!!! And one dim picture of the whole guitar. Not for the faint of heart.......
