Gee, and I thought I'd done good when I sold my left handed one (just last week) for $400.00

First time I've ever seen a guitar with a top made of "citrus" spruce.

It looks about as locked away as you could possibly get. Glad to see the appreciation.

I'm guessing that "hand selected citrus spruce" is closer to "Sitka Spruce" or are the Floridians trickier than I thought?

Yeah, I had a watch on this one, just to see...

Good pictures, and lots of 'em (including closeups) - I think it makes a difference.

Next highest bid was $565. which is probably closer to what it's really worth. But nice to see an Ovation get some respect. What's the difference between this an a regular Legend. Just the stereo output?

Yeah, I was watching that one. Whoever bought it apparently went right to the reserve price.

Perhaps it's the John Lennon phenomenon, since early last week his new CD was released with his picture playing this same guitar was on the cover. Also worthy to note that the guitar was basically brand new.

The only difference is the nutmeg stain & the fact it has a stereo out, other than that it's a standard Legend. Someone must have really wanted this one.

Yep. A few weeks ago I bought a Preacher Deluxe which contained what used to be the originl batteries. They'd leaked all over the PCB, took a while to fix it
