Location: Jet City		Yes, it's a 1617-4, there's a billion of these things floating around. This is one of the transitional ones though. It has the truss rod, no Kaman Bar which makes the neck considerably thinner. It plays like an electric it's just so EASY to play. Yes, there are many truss rod 1617s, but most had VT bracing, this one has A-Bracing. So this puts it in that small window of a slim necked, A-braced 1617s.

This one also has a hand-laid bowl.

This guitar's been owned by 3 different musicians (I've owned this one twice) and it has some serious mojo in it's wide open top. Originally, I bought off a local giggin musician here about 2 years ago. I sold it off to my singer (from Chasen Chantz) and he's been giggin with it for the past year or so. He decided to pick up that red flame I was selling a few months ago and traded this back to me with a little cash for the flame. I've been using it all summer as my beach/campfire/concert at the Gorge guitar, but summer's over and it's time for this one to move on to a new friend.

It's in great condition, but it does have a bit of a scar on it's face (middle lower bout). Aside from that, this is a stellar example of a 30 year old, well played tone monster!

Moody - Naw, I still have 20 or so floatin' around and of course the Al DiMeola (first model) for all my A-braced needs. I REALLY do like the playability of this neck, and had they made these cutaway back then with this neck, I don't think I'd ever let it go. Truth be told though, if a guitar doesn't have a cutaway, it gets played a lot less and has a tendency to be gone eventually. There are exceptions of course (1537 for one). I have been cravin' some wood though, and there's a Tak New Yorker in my sights...

I've also been lusting after the white UKII on eBay. That one's hard to justify as I already have my trusty one I bought new way back when, but I've always like the white ones.
