Location: Buffalo,NY | Here are the pic's of my new(to me) Standard Balladeer 1771LX a number of you have asked for:
Even though shown on my 12 String(1858LX) , here is the strap that I will use for the Balladeer as well.
The leather is a very nice maroon color(or is that mauve ?).

Location: Simpsonville, SC | Ah Doc..your taste in guitars and straps are impeccable. She's a Beaut. If you ever give up medicine you may want to consider a career in fashion design, lol! Your photography skills ain't half bad either.
I can't tell the difference between maroon and mauve, but the the strap seems very appropriate.
I hope that the, new to you, 1771LX sounds as good as the, new to me, CL 1158, sounds! :D
Enjoy! Jim |

1612- Custom Balladeer
1233-2 Thunderhead
1858-Reconditioned 12 string I should know better than not to check things like that ! :>)
I haven't even plugged it in yet. The controls where set that way either from me fooling with them or nudging them as I moved the guitar around for pic's. Nice catch !

I get my straps from a very nice
guy in Arizona who happens to be quite creative in his designs and will sell you stock straps(already made) or make you a custom strap from scratch.
He does great work and I have a number of his straps; some from stock and some custom made. His name is Bob. Check some of his work out at:

Here are some of the straps that I have purchased from Bob:

You could strap on a Toyota with something that wide!!!! brainslag,
That was my first impression too ! That was until I bought my first one and wore it. I won't go back to any strap now unless it's at least 3.5 " wide; even for acoustics; just too comfortable. However, you can order them any width.
I never realized how uncomfortable most straps are until I wore these. But that's just my opinion. Check out some of the testimonials and you'll see many happy customers including Willie Nelson and Jewel . But like anything else they may not be for every one.
Some I had made wide because I'm using them with heavy guitars. They are very , very comfortable and do not look that wide when strapped on.
