| Hi,
Im new to the fan club. I currently own a "vintage" ultra. With the deep bowl it sounds great. I am looking for a acoustic/electric, though and I don't have much experience with them. It seems there are an endless number of different models to choose from. The celebrity series seems to be the most affordable for my wallet, but which one gives the best overall sound plugged and unplugged? I've looked at CC057's, CC168, etc... Help!!!!

Location: Cleveland, Ohio | I have a Celebrity Viper CV68-5 for sale, currently listed on ebay. I bought it for myself and then decided to sell it and put the proceeds towards an Adamas. It is a great guitar, basically brand new with a hardshell case. I would keep it, but I can't afford them both.

Who writes your copy? "If you have never liked the round-back bowl, then the Viper is the Ovation for you." |

I was also looking at a CC057 when I started collecting. I much prefer my Balladeer at the same or less cost. I had a CS247 that was a great guitar, but cost more than the Balladeer and wasn't half the guitar that the Collectors' edition is even though it cost half. If you are at all like me, you'd prefer a good used Balladeer in the $200-300 range than the 057. The only difference may be the tuner, but I prefer to use my Korg that I got for $14 anyway. |

Patrick, listen to Mark. You'd be much happier with a Balladeer. |

I appreciate that advise. Yes, I have no problems with tuning it the old fashioned way! A good used instrument would be great. |
