I was looking at the 'Blind Pig Records 25th Anniversary Collection' bonus CD and I ran across this.

Yes they make them. I like the Nationals better than the dobros. The buiscuit bridge system gives a better sound than the dobro spyder bridge system.

I am guessing it sounds real smoove in his hands!

Not at all like a 55 gallon drum full of snare drums and slinkys rolling down a cobblestone road!

Hmmm...practising banjo rolls on a 12-string - that should improve your finger pickin' chops!

bill, what model national would be a good gig guitar? kind of the equivalent of an old balladeer. good and rugged and made to haul around without too much worry.

once i beat my way out of this financial sand trap ( i am usinc a pool cue instead of a wedge) that is something on my wish list.

i bought a meisel spitfire violin with a humbucker. synthetic body. kind of fun, but no frets is new ballgame for me, and the neck thing when you pinch the dam thing between your chin and shoulder bone will probably lead to a new undiscovered area for chiropractic help. i can see why some fiddlers play off their belly.

Russ, I would think one of the new style O (Brass body, plated)or one of the Delphi models (steel body painted). Get it with the Highlander. I see them on the bay for 1200-1500.

Bill, are Highlanders standard equipment on Nat'ls?
I always hear good things about Highlanders, but never really played/heard one first hand . .
