Location: Keller, TX | Just an FYI. I have a deep/mid bowl case (9158) available. Has the Ovation logo on the inside (white logo on black background). Will ask $40 plus shipping for OFC members.
Case works well. When closed the back of the case is open in the middle about 2 mm. Don't know how that happens. Got the case with the new Millenium from Mike Stevens (Ovation Dallas Rep). |

I'm considering another acquisition this weekend, and it doesn't seem to have a case available.

Location: Keller, TX | OK, just waiting to hear back from Stephent28. Second is MisterGolf007.
Has anyone seen the logo before? Does that make it special? My other three cases (9158, 8158, and ? for Shallow bowl) don't have the logo inside. |

Location: SoCal | I believe that Ovation went to this style case about 5-7 years ago. It's standard. I think. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | I think it's standard with the Legends, Elites and above. Balladeers and Standard Elites get the cheaper, mid-bowl only case. My MERB1598, 1777, 2002-AC and 2005-ES came with that case, the GCS771-C did NOT. My 1771LX came with the nicer case, but our GC "stole" that case from a C778LX they had, and let me have it as part of the deal(they had accidentally sold the 1771LX's case to someone else).

Location: Warren,Pa. | The newer 8158 comes with the logo also. I rec'd my '04 6778 NEB in it, and they're VERY close. The only differences I can find are 1) No hole for the truss rod wrench (you don't need one with an LX) and, 2) The guitar doesn't fit as well. When you fit the mid-bowl down in the case, the headstock raises up in the air. The whole guitar pivots at the neck support. The only way I realized I had an 8158 was the little white sticker on the outside of the case, which I've since removed. John <>{ |
