I posted this question some time back a friend of mine has an old Ovation we think its a 73 white top balladeer no cutaway that the top is cracking and the bridge is screwed on it and I was wandering if anyone one could recommend a trustworthy repairman....this guitar has way more sentimental value than most.....It has been the source of inspiration for many a bluebird performance and some 60 songs cut by major Nashville country artists ....So any help would be greatly appreciated

The factory is the only place I'd ever trust. Give them a call!

Everyone's gonna say "Send it back to the Mothership". Nobody knows these guitars like they do.

Actually, my luthier on Baltic Street could do it ... but he got fed up with brooklyn and moved to california ... there are others in NYC but it would cost you too much. Send it to that special Yankee workshop up north.

I'm tellin' ya, though; they're gonna replace the top & bowl, as a unit. Probably in the neighborhood of $500.00, too. Sentimental value, eh?

Factory. I just got my '2 piece' ebay bargain 1624 back. They did a beautiful job repairing the de-laminating neck, the joint at the body and re-attaching the neck.
