I sold my Adamas II and shipped it to Japan 3 days ago. I miss it already and probably made a big mistake selling it. But what better way to get over a broken heart...

I was tracking that one just because it was interesting ... Adamas logo on 5-piece 12 string neck. I like the sunburst, too. Let us know how the maple top sounds, especially with the shallow bowl. Heck, maybe you can even answer the question about plugged-in sound regardless of top or body. ;)

You do realize that it's an elite body on an Adamas neck?

You're right in that it's an Adamas II neck. I've seen those before, but they're rare. Don't know if it was special ordered like that of if it was a factory mistake. Probahly special ordered.

What's the difference between an Adamas II neck and an Ovation 5-piece neck (like one on a Legend or Elite)? Aside from the logo, of course.

the fingerboard.

This looks like a really nice panelmaster. Probably sounds really good too. You better get it.

I think the difference in the peghead, other than the logo, is the Adamas II has a 3 ply facing and one of the plys is black. Plus the fingerboad is walnut. I didn't have a shallow bowl or an elite or a cutaway 12-string or a sunburst finish guitar, so this will satisfy a few "needs". At least temporarily. I'll let you know about the sound. I'm not expecting much compared to my deep non-cutaway Adamas II 12-string, which is a real boomer, but we'll see. Probably for a gigging guitar (I think my last gig was '74 in the school gym), this should be pretty nice.

I was all over this and watched it till the end.

The XLR hook up and the looks had me... I had a top $# in mind and I knew who I was up against.

I'm glad you got. My GAS has kicked in again...

It found a good home.

Nice score. I especially like the mauve epaulette leaves in the pictures. Must have been special ordered through Al, eh?

Thanks about the info on the neck difference. I learn something new every day on the site! I didn't notice the black ply ... looks really nice and it's also the way the headstock on the 1537 is. I thought the fretboard on this was was rosewood from the look in the pics, but then again I'm somewhat botanically challenged. It also looks like it's a floating fretboard? No matter, that's one nice guitar!
