I've wanted a UKII for quite awhile. Just wondering if anyone out there has a lead on one or is willing to sell.

Thanks!

Never! It's the one guitar I can honestly say I will never sell. They are in my mind one of the best electric guitars ever designed.

There are a few on eBay, a couple of white ones too, but they're a bit spendy. I still keep trying to rationalize buying one of them white ones though.

Here's one in Atlanta... http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/msg/2292101484.html

That's the only way they were produced was with gold hardware. Good luck on your chrome ukII hunt.

Hey Damon67... thanks for letting me know that. I wasn't aware. I could have sworn I saw some with chrome.

Just google imaged it... definitely they were made with chrome.

Sorry to correct you dude!

You can try to correct me all you want, but you'll still be wrong.

Just because you Googled and found a picture of one that's in chrome does not mean they were ever produced that way. THis one was obviously altered. The pickup selector switch still has the gold ring on it. You will also find some that were custom builds and one-offs (it's possible your pictured one was custom ordered that way, but I doubt it), some even with finishes that were not offered, but it's highly unlikely. The non-production models are few and far between (and probably owned by the owner of this site).

As I said before, PRODUCTION models were done in gold. You'd be better off buying a gold one and looking for chrome hardware if that's how you must have it. Looks are the very low on the list as to why the UKII is special though.

Miles is the person I mentioned in my post. I'm sure he'll agree.

Or...

You can believe Ovation...

Or...

You can keep on thinking they were produced in chrome and wait till you find one for sale.

You asked for a lead, I gave you one.
