I am attempting to trade my Parkwood Jumbo for a Ovation off of Craigslist. I have someone who has a CC057 with HSC that wants to trade. Everything I see this Ovation goes for approx $300. I think w/case. The Parkwood goes for around $600.00 w/Gigbag I first said no, but she is being persistant and is offering up all sorts of pedals (I don't really use the much) and othe various merch. Is this guitar even worth looking at? Anyone have one. I'm not a huge Celeb fan more from word of mouth then Hands on.

You could pick up a fairly decent US made Balladeer for not much more than that. I'm a blatant US 'O' snob and wouldn't even bother with a Celibatey.

Except maybe for camping... in the rain.

(BTW... 1098 posts. Do I win the Ducati?)

You just missed a really nice Custom Balladeer here that went for $300.

Be patient there will be more.

I'd say $300 is absolute tops. My first 'O' was a 057 and I was disappointed in the lack of richness acoustically. Although plugged in it can sound very good.

...just my

People are trying to BIN them on eBarf for $240-$260 with a nice OHSC.
I bought a new "USED" GC057 (Guitar Center's CC057) with case for $165.
I'd hold-off, or sell the Parkwood and get a nice used USO.
Remember, the 057 is an SSB with a plywood top...

[I got 3 FAB pedals and a Zoom G1X... I don't use them either!]

A used CC 057 can be had for less than $200. You'd be taking gas on that deal.

Thanks Guys. My initial thought was ,No don't do it and you all confimed my feelings. This guy was offering me all sorts of "stuff" along with
the CC057 to make the trade. I gave him a list of what I would consider and he has none of it. So bottom line is, NO DEAL!!

Your right. I found out it was a "guy" using his Girlfriend's E-mail. The name kept popping up as "Christie"
