Here's a "meditation" I improvised on my 1117 (1974 Legend) recorded with an AKG C4000B mic. I like the gritty "reality" of the AKG... It captures the Ovation sound. I've had a rough year, so this is fitting mood...

Hey Greg, that is some damn fine playing. I liked it so much I shared it on my fb page. Wish I had a mic that would even come close to the AKG, but can't afford anything. I was going to say I would just love to sit down and play some music with you, but after this, I don't think I could keep up.
Great job brother, I really enjoyed this a lot

Gracias! The tuning I use (e a d g c f) offers some nice notes on the open strings that help inspire new ideas. The guitar sounds a bit different, too, when tuned in perfect fourths. The tune "Black Adamas" illustrates what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8wdKrVAQk4

Really nice... thanks, Greg.
Hang in there. Rough years seem to be going around... 'round here.

Thanks, Jonmark. Truly, where would we be without our guitars? And, Kit, I am pleased to play with any guitar-slnging brother.

So you're one of those finicky players that likes to hit EVERY note. Very nice.

Not sure this is familiar enough, but here is Tony Williams' ballad "Pee Wee" (from Miles D's "Sorcerer" LP) also on the 1117 to AKG:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyCK434AJiE&feature=plcp

Dang, I can't even THINK that fast, much less play that fast. That's fantastic.....essence of Acoustic Alchemy.
