I've got a hand-held robotic tuner and it works great, but it's a whole lot easier on guitars with 6-on-a-side tuners. I can't decide if Gibson's idea is truly groundbreaking, or just silly. |

Location: Marlton, NJ | They could have taken it that one last step and made the intonation automatic as well... for that matter, why not the truss rod too?
Maybe "Fly" mode is one of those undocumented features. You keep pulling, pushing and twisting the knob until you get the desired result. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Sonny Landreth had something like this on a Les Paul, he was using it to go between different open tunings. Since he didn't use it long I guess we know how well it worked. |

Had a set of Plymouth-esque pushbutton presets for a set of servo motors to change tunings . . .
As I'd said in the earlier e-mail exchange, the only thing I like about this guitar is that it matches my car . . . |
