Joined: March 2005 Posts: 5567 Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Jerome's site is amazing: I just found that the 1988 US Ovation catalog has pictures and model decriptions for the Graphic top T-Bolts...The original T-bolts are designated as TB-01's...Mine is designated as a TS01-5 Thunderbolt Snakeskin - Black; They were available in 4 colors including brown, red, blue, and black (mine). The other graphic top was designated as a TD-01 for Thunderbolt Dragon and were available in the same colors. The difference between the graphics was that the Dragon's had rounded edges on the "spots" (or whatever you call them) and the graphics were more in circles; the Snakeskin used sharper/squared edges on the spots/squares or blocks. Mine is the only actual snakeskin that I've seen...I have seen/have pictures of two blues toped ones and one red toped one but they were all dragon tops according to the '88 catalog pictures on the website. Al did tell me about having a chance to buy a mint Black Snake T-bolt like mine some years ago but that's about it so far, unless any others have one or have seen one? also found out that my 1115-1 (which finally arrived this week) is probably a 1968 as the old catalogs (also from Jerome's site in France) show the model designations changing in 1969 to K-1115's , etc. The serial number is G-492 on the New Hartford label (Ist issue New Hartford---white w/blue and grey markings). If this is all true, this may be a very early textured/painted bowl Ovation 12 as most of the three digit's seem to have been shiny bowls. Here are some new pic's: The case is an original Victoria Luggage Co. case from 1968 as well. Well, so much for my investigative work on a holiday weekend! Hope yours is/was a good and safe one! Blessings...

It probably will take lots of time but I'm sure that it will be a great addition for all the people who were not there. I'm just an idiot because I didn't take any pictures of the Ovation #6 and blue resonator!!! I was so impressed to be in front of so nice guitars that I forgot... :( If you'd like to share your pics of O's for the website, they all will be welcome. Thanks one more time. J :)
