These are primarily ones that I have not been able to find on the internet sites. (That would be lyrics with chords over them!) These are usually newer songs that our P & W band wants to add to our repertoire. (I think we need a spell checker on this BB.) Anyway, I would be glad to share if anyone would like. (Mine are in MSWord format) Anyone want to share?

We need to abide by copyright laws and make sure artists are being reimbursed for the use of their property, which is what these songs are. I know, I know, someone had to come along and be a spoilsport, but, as a pastor, I'm very aware of the trouble all of our (your) churches could get in if fined for using other's music without having the proper copyright license: I assume your church has one and keeps it paid up-to-date? As long as you make every effort to find the source of the songs, AND alert your licensing agency to your use of them (so that they can find and reimburse the artist) you are acting in good faith. Many older hymns are now "public domain" so they're available for anyone to use, but be careful there, too; new arrangements of old hymns (even if just a few words have been changed), may be copyrighted and can only be "used by permission." If you're passing along hand scribbled (or even worse, computer generated) copies of other people's songs, you better watch your backside (and your conscience). I say (write) all this under the assumption that I'm talking to a brother in Christ who wants to do the right thing. ;)

They ensure that the posted and selected songs are taken care of. The "Cheat Sheets" for me at least are an alternative method of following the songs that are selected. Our Vocalists need the three pages of notes and staffs. The Drummer needs to see it once and us guitar players need th lyrics and chords placed on one sheet. The trick is to set the sheet on the stand so that it is in the focal range of your bifocals and you can still hit the microphone. Using a Cheat sheet for personal practice and entertainment is still non-gratis.

(Christian Copywrite License) I suggest anyone using the song sheets I shared make sure their Church/Parish or Prayer group has the appropriate CCL also, if you are going to use these for other than personal purposes. Check it out - www.ccli.com Sorry for the ommission/assumption.
