The more I play this sucker the more I like it.
It has a really woody tone to it and plays like a dream....and the boost switch is a really cool touch.

and the tuners......they are to die for!

I knew the tuners were pretty cool but until I changed out the strings today I did not realize how awesome they really were. Probably the easist tuner to string up I have ever used on an acoustic.

and as I was rummagining through the case I noticed that there were only 8 of these made vs the 12 of the OFCI which makes this one even more rare and appealing.

I am not sure who got the other 6 (cause I think one is still available) but we are a lucky lucky bunch!

Happy holidays!

Ah, I feel like a football fan. "We're number ONE! We're number ONE!" Only in this case I should be saying "Number one is MINE!! Number one is MINE!!" (Now, I have to go clean up that puddle...) Oh, Merry Day After Christmas!!!

Alison is gonna love it.

Dave, is there a registration spot for the OFC2 on your Ovation site?

Yeah, and I didn't sleep last night. I sat up playing several of my guitars and wondered what #1 is going to sound like. I swear, I am the luckiest person in the world. The one thing I love most in life is guitars, and I own some of the very finest ever made. No one deserves this much happiness, but I'll take it!

Got it.
Music seems to have double listed and tried to steal my number 6. Please remove the thief  .

It would be nice if these were listed under the OFC I guitars.....but I am just happy you maintain the site and am grateful for your work.

Happy holidays!

I may just keep 8/8 although I really can't afford to.

If all goes as planned this will close out the chapter on OFC II.....

sorry; when I first called Al, I was told it would be #6..but that turned out to be a wide neck and I wanted a regular neck: #4 became mine...One is all I need...Yes Dave, change that please...

So even with Al keeping #8, we are still missing one owner..Who got it?

I just put 80/20s on this to compare to the factory strings. Haven't formed an opinion yet (other than it sounds terrific).

Has anybody else changed out strings yet and what type did you put on it?

I changed mine and put DR Sunbeams (12-54) on. The added sustain from these round core strings is very noticable. I can really get this guitar to ring. The Sunbeams are phosphor bronze, and for whatever reason it warmed up the sound a lot compared to whichever D'Adds it came with.

I've got some Pyramid silver round wounds on the way to put on the -5burst. I think I can get a real chimey sound from it that would be ultra cool for certain songs.

I ordered some of the Sunbeams over the weekend that should show up Monday.
I was gonna put the mediums on the Collings CJ.
I think I will try the Med-Lights on the OFC2.

played it again for a good while tonight...smile, smile, smile!!!
Try this thru a Roland Micro Cube folks...TnT had his back in September and I ordered one before the OFC II arrived: what a great portable sound machine...it sounds wonderful! I use it on Sunday's in my smaller church where there is no PA...incredible! I love my Fender Deluxe, Marshall JTM, and Univalve but this micro cube is just awesome! This is a performance guitar!!! Al, thank you again so much!!!
Alison, just wait!!!! :D :D :D ;)
