I just bought a CS for my Daughter and a nice old Ultra Electric for me? Can't do this one this week but am wondering if this would be considered a fair price for one of these? Not familiar with the Country Artist's at all?

The word "spooey" is WAY over used around here (ha ha). Actually I heard someone say it looked like the pieces from that game "Jenga". If someone really hated it (I've actually grown to like it), they could easily slap a regular Ovation floral rosette on it. Although I think that would take away from the uniqueness of this guitar.

Anyone on the list got one they may be willing to part with? It will be a few weeks before I can buy one of these if I can find another then? Rather buy from this group than anywhere else??????? I am very pleased that I have finally found at least what Ovation Nylon Sting I am after now. Please tell me the sound is what I expect from an Ovation. Thanks for the Photo

Nice wood inlay also at the 12th fret. You can see a lot more photos of it on my website. The unplugged sound is quite nice. Not load, but very detailed and clear. Similar to the earlier model Country Artist 1124 or 1624. Plugged in the sound is just fantastic. The one on ebay has OP24 pre-amp, mine has OP-X. The only thing I didn't care for was the face of the headstock is just a plain matte black with open gear (cheap) chrome tuners. I had the face of mine gloss finished and added nice enclosed gold Schaller tuners. Over all I really like it.

And I agree with Dave -- the enclosed tuners are better as is the glossed headstock on his. It's a terrific guitar in that it nicely bridges the distance between a stage guitar and something that you can play on the front porch. Yesterday I played a Gypsy King endorsed something (they used to play Viper nylon strings). It had a narrow wood body and a classical neck. Acoustically, it sucked, and plugged in, you had to work with it to get a sound. $1800 for that. The Country Artist is a much better guitar.

Good to at least be done with the questions about Ovation numbering systems and so many choices. A Counrty Artist it is! Thanks guys. I assume I can buy the Ovation tuners from Ovation? Al do you have These? Anyone? Thanks guy's Randy

I was looking at the little units that clip to the back of the headstock? What exactly is a Peterson Tuner? I went to your website Al? I see no tuners at all? I am interested in something for my Bass guitars as well. The units I have have the tuner option built into the effects but I still like a seperate unit for this. Al Can you post me a price here or should I just email you? Perhaps there are some others here who may be interested? Thanks Randy Al you wouldn't happen to have a nice Country Artist Nylon kicking around in that great bunch of Ovation's you have?

Peterson tuners are digital strobe tuners they run around $200. they are a little difficult to use but once you get used to them they are great. it will tune your guitar, bass, piano, etc. sorry no nylon strings in stock. btw I do not check every post every time the best way to get a hold of me is via e mail

It didn't have the O look, now if it had been the leaf pattern or something like that, fine. It was the first step in getting back to a flush rosette so it was good in that sence.
