Location: Utah | We got a call from a friend who is a news anchor wanting to interview the girls about MySpace security. So they sent out a reporter and cameraman to the house and spent about 30 minutes with the girls. The reporter asked the girls about their band page etc, and then filmed the girls on the computer doing some MySpace stuff.
Then, they filmed the girls playing one of their songs. Ovation will get some good exposure tonight!
They interviewed me about a parent's viewpoint on MySpace. Maybe they'll cut most of that part out.

Location: Utah | They did a nice job on the story and gave the girls a lot of screen time, relatively speaking. There was a ten second clip of them playing one of their songs, with Katie on her GC178LX and Sara on the piano. They also showed their MySpace page with their band name while the girls discussed how many plays and downloads they've had, and then showed them approving a friend request.
I'm sure the editor had only a few minutes to put together the story, but it was very nicely done. If I can figure out how to get it from TIVO to YouTube we will do it. The station website doesn't yet have the video up. If they do put up the video, I'll post a link to it. |

Location: Utah | Crimson, hold onto that CD, it will be worth milliion$. I remember back in the early 80's I was on an extended business trip in Midland TX when an unknown country act came to town. They were autographing their first CD and shaking hands with all the fans. It was the Judds before they were known. Too bad I didn't buy their CD, it would be one investment that hasn't gone down. |

| That's just great - we're such fans of their stuff and they turn out to be good kids too. My daughter had them as her myspace (or facebook - what do I know?) music for ages. |

Location: GA USA | Good video, Fly. I downloaded it from the page and converted it to an mp4 video that you should be able to download HERE and view with Quicktime or upload to Youtube. If it doesn't work for you, I can probably convert it to any other format. |

Location: GA USA | I'll tell you how I did it on mine, Sig. I installed a Firefox add-on called DownloadHelper that grabbed the video from the Fox TV page and downloaded it onto my desktop as an flv file.
I used a freeware program called isquint to convert it. You can get tons of Mac software at versiontracker.com
You should be able to import the mp4 into imovie and export it any way you like, including to a dvd.
The Artist is right. Control-click is your right-click. |
