These are great guitars: I played one from 1977 thru 1988 upwards of 7 nights a week in all conditions over most of the Cont. U.S. and it never let me down.

I've heard nothing but great things about the 1615. Had a chance to pick one up for under $300.00 in great shape and didn't. Still kicking myself! Go for it!!

These are BOOMERS! Not bloomers...

I have a near mint -1(SB) that will be in my will. It has the volume only circuitry (FET?).

I have several diff gen 12ers 'O's but this one hits ya in the gut and is proud to 'sing'. To be honest. I've never plugged her in. But I'm in 'O' 12er heaven when I pull this beaut out for an exercise!

I just check on her for electronic config for your post. Guess what? She's still in tune after sitting for a several of months!

AWESOME Ovation!!!

I have a 1115 (same as a 1615 but acoustic-only) that I got on Ebay for $300. It had a lot of issues which I've had taken care of. I've installed an OpPro with K&K pickups. I LOVE playing this guitar. A 12 string has been my primary guitar since '74, and I enjoy the sound and feel of this one more than any other I've ever had.

Ya want to show her off at the October Jam? I'll gladly bring her in that no one has responded to my 'git to take' offer.

MB ,

Do you know when they went to the V/T config? The serial number sticker is missing in mine. I'd like to have an idea of its age. TIA.

The strap button would be in a different place.

You should have been here 3 weeks ago when Jeff was selling his A braced 1115 sunburst acoustic only. Brand new A braced body and bowl conjoined to a vintage original 1115 neck. It's the best sounding wood topped 12-string I've ever heard. Even better than Taylor.

except when you send one (68/69 1115) up to the crew at the factory for a refurb...and ask them to install a line driver preamp from a FD14 and a thinline pickup... battery box inside on the waist, and endpin jack out.

Very Nice! Shiny Bowl Boomer 12 with spectacularly clear plugged in sound.

Thanks John and Kim!
