IS THERE THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE IN SOUND AND PLAYABILITY BETWEEN THE 1867 LEGEND AND THE 1861 BALLADEER? I'VE NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY A LEGEND. THANKS FOR THE INPUT.

I believe there is at least one other thread about this topic. I own a 1711 Balladeer, and a 1117 Legend. My particular Legend has a much deeper/richer tone than my Balladeer without a doubt. I believe the Legend has a little higher grade spruce top, other than that, mostly cosmetic differences (Legend being more ornate).

Both great guitars, but the Legend may be a step above acoustically.
